This dress is BEAUTIFUL, surprisingly comfortable, in really great condition (both the dry cleaner and the professional I had talked to about altering it told me), and has been professionally dry cleaned (I spent $650 to have it done by one of the better known dry cleaners in the Bay Area, who specializes in wedding dresses).
I purchased it from another bride who got it at a sample sale and was selling it because she had gotten pregnant before their wedding date and they had decided to just have a civil ceremony. I, in turn, am selling it because I bought it so far in advance of our wedding date (still upcoming!) that it no longer fits me! :( Because its construction is complex, neither the lady I had approached to work on the dress nor I wanted to touch it. It won't zip up around my bust area, so I'm not going to count on being able to fit into it by my wedding!
The previous bride who had owned this wasn't interested in making money but just wanted to pass the dress to a new bride who could actually use it, and I want to do the same. :) I still have the ribbon that came with the dress, but I personally think it looks nicer with a thinner belt.
Btw, I don't know about shipping, but we should talk about the best and most economical way of getting it to you. I am based in the South Bay of California, also, in case you want to come in person to see it. :)
